Many families today leave together as flat mates and total strangers not as family members, it is really devastating knowing that some parents lack relationships with their children and as such has led to disintegration and sometimes mar the foundation of the children as regards love, respect, discipline, approach to life, academics and vision and as such leading to future home without love and togetherness.
Often times most parents don't known their role in the life of their children, as a mother you have a role to play, as a father you also have a role to play in raising responsible children with a difference , it is not just making babies but to raise generations with a difference, the Bible say if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do.

Parenting or child rearing is the process of promoting and supporting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. Parenting refers to the intricacies of raising a child and not exclusively for a biological relationship.
Good parenting involves a great deal of consistency and routine, which gives children a sense of control. Good parenting focuses on developing independence in children, so redundancy becomes the aim for parents. Good parenting involves a style that considers children's age and stage of development.
From the beginning never prefer any child gender over the other, a girl is perfect, a boy is also perfect, many parents out of ignorance tend to give preferential treatment to one gender indirectly promoting gender inequality, yes instill respect and discipline for the girls to respect men and for the men too to respect the women, from there you will see how cool you are raising responsible generations, don't forget you are not just raising a girl but a mother and a wife to be in future, and you are not just raising a boy but a father and a husband to be in future
The Role of a Mother in Parenting:
The mother is a female parent, she is responsible for the emotional welfare of the child. mother's role is to love her children with all her heart. It is also the role of every mom to understand her children. When a child feels this, he or she learns to trust the parent(s) better. A mother plays a great role in this training. Mothers change the world with every child they raise.
Morals in children as essential and the first person a child learns morals from is the mom, the mother tends to be closer to the children than the fathers, because it is well understood that the father spends almost all his time working and indirectly giving no or little attention to the Childs upbringing, that's why the child is more attached to the mother than the father( Emotional bonding)
Be a good role model as a mother to your children, you are
the first person your child ever knows. Set Boundaries and rules the children
needs to thrive. Be respectful, supportive and loving to them. It can be tough growing up, be patient with your
children and take time, and forgiveness is key to achieving this.
The role of a Father
Yes the role of the mother is vital that does not mean the father's role is not important too. Father are ladders the children climb to see farther, they are the backbone of the family and as such must make time out for the family too so as to ensure balance and equilibrium in raising a Godly and responsible children. The duty of taking care of the children should not be given to the mothers alone, as a father you are suppose to provide for the family.
Fathers have a crucial role to play in the cognitive, social, and emotional development of their children. Fathers are to provide their children with critical thinking, motivation, communication skills, and independence that will benefit them throughout their lifetimes. Fathers have the responsibility to make sure that their children know how much their fathers love them and they love them without any condition. Fathers must not encourage their children in doing things wrong but they must shower their love for their children without going into any condition. A good father makes all the difference in a child's life. He's a pillar of strength, support, and joy. A good father loves his children, but he doesn't let them get away with everything. He might disapprove of his children's misdeeds, using tough love to prove a point, but he does so through the power of his words
